Adult Confirmation Program

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the Sacraments of Initiation into the Catholic Church. We offer an Adult Confirmation Program for adults (over 18) that have not had the opportunity to receive this Holy Sacrament and who have already been baptized, received their First Holy Communion, and practice the Roman Catholic faith.

Class Dates and Time:

The candidates will meet every Saturday morning from 10AM to 12PM beginning August 3, 2024 and continue until the program ends February 2, 2025, when the Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred. Candidates are expected to attend all classes.

Sponsors

Adult Confirmation candidates are required to have sponsors.  A sponsor must have received all three Sacraments of Initiation, be at least 18 years of age, be actively practicing the faith and if married, be in a valid Catholic marriage.  If a candidate does not have a sponsor, there are St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishioners who would be honored to serve as a sponsor.  Sponsors are encouraged to attend all sessions when possible. There will be a required workshop for sponsors.

Registration/Fees

Prior to starting class, the candidate must submit an Adult Confirmation registration form to Deacon Noel. To be admitted to the program the candidate must provide a BAPTISMAL AND FIRST COMMUNION CERTIFICATE or a completed Affidavit of Baptism and evidence of having received First Holy Communion. There is a section on the form below to upload your baptism and first communion certificates. Completed forms may also be given directly to Deacon Noel.
